HUSTLE CULTURE IS KILLING YOU, IT'S TIME TO LAY BOSS BABE MENTALITY TO REST (60)

Here's a whole sermon for ya... I have some shit to say about this virus called hustle culture that's slowly killing us

It shows up in "urgency" and "boss babe" mindset which btw is just bro marketing tactics (I know you are grossed out by) disguised in a pretty dress

We have to stop extracting ourselves

We have to untangle our worth from productivity, achievement and the pace in which we move in this world

It's time for a mf boss babe funeral in business, lay that shiiiit to rest and stop overriding our body's innate wisdom

Let me know what lands or stirs for you on IG (@nicolepasveer)

Speaker:

Okay.

2

:

There's some shit we need

to talk about specifically.

3

:

Sickly.

4

:

If you are.

5

:

A mother.

6

:

A woman.

7

:

Uh, human with a uterus.

8

:

Neurodivergent.

9

:

Um, not a.

10

:

Generator or Manny, Jenn and human design.

11

:

And if you are still a sin, Um,

Um, any and all of those things.

12

:

I need you to listen to.

13

:

Me when I tell you and

talk about this virus that.

14

:

That we have all been exposed to.

15

:

As humans.

16

:

Collectively.

17

:

And that's.

18

:

Hustle and grind culture.

19

:

And the sneaky ways that it.

20

:

Shows up in our life and.

21

:

The ways.

22

:

Ways that we need to start

building immunity to it in

23

:

order to literally like save.

24

:

Humanity because it's killing us.

25

:

We.

26

:

Have not.

27

:

Evolved to.

28

:

Move at the pace.

29

:

That modern.

30

:

Life is asking.

31

:

Us to move at.

32

:

And.

33

:

I say specifically for like

mother and women and neurodiverse.

34

:

Vergent.

35

:

People because.

36

:

Because.

37

:

Things are just different for us.

38

:

We aren't.

39

:

White dudes in suits

with massive privilege.

40

:

And.

41

:

All the other things that might make.

42

:

The pace of hustle and grind culture.

43

:

Actually.

44

:

Actually work for us,

it doesn't work for us.

45

:

And I would argue it doesn't work for.

46

:

Those white dudes either.

47

:

They just don't have the

conscious awareness to even.

48

:

Care they've been there in that

mentality of like, do more.

49

:

Push more work harder, more and

more and more money, money, money.

50

:

Um, And it's quite disgusting actually.

51

:

Money's not disgusting, but the force.

52

:

And the sacrifice in which people.

53

:

Will.

54

:

We'll put themselves through

to get money as disgusting.

55

:

Um, And the harm that

we're doing to humanity.

56

:

And to our souls as.

57

:

Animal bodies.

58

:

And to the land and earth that we live on.

59

:

So anyway, there's some things

that I want you to hear.

60

:

One of them.

61

:

Is.

62

:

Uh, urgency.

63

:

Isn't real.

64

:

Um, urgency is a frequency.

65

:

I see that.

66

:

Is almost this like, External.

67

:

Pressure feeling.

68

:

Outside of us.

69

:

And.

70

:

Time isn't real.

71

:

So.

72

:

This feeling of urgency.

73

:

Doesn't necessary.

74

:

I mean that like, The

antidote to it is moving.

75

:

At a slower pace.

76

:

It's more to do.

77

:

It's less to do with this speed.

78

:

Speed in which you are like moving

through time, because time isn't real.

79

:

And more to do with the

like, External pressure.

80

:

Pressure and obligation you

were feeling around that thing.

81

:

That's.

82

:

It's not real.

83

:

Um,

84

:

Rest.

85

:

Rest and.

86

:

Space.

87

:

For pleasure.

88

:

And nourishment and.

89

:

And joy.

90

:

And things that don't necessarily.

91

:

We have a.

92

:

Gold star.

93

:

Achievement at the end.

94

:

Or so, so important for our humanity.

95

:

And for our souls alive.

96

:

Anise and for our.

97

:

Our.

98

:

Channel two.

99

:

Too.

100

:

Be open to creativity.

101

:

And to life force energy.

102

:

And.

103

:

When we are constantly override.

104

:

Overriding our body's need

for rest and for pleasure.

105

:

We are.

106

:

Disrupting and literally like, Like

plugging up that energetic channel.

107

:

That we all, as human

beings have access to.

108

:

Um, and.

109

:

And that is doing a huge disservice

to, again, not only are our souls.

110

:

And our animal bodies, but

also to our like, commute.

111

:

Community as a whole and

to the world as a whole.

112

:

And.

113

:

And so we really need to start

prioritizing rest and pleasure.

114

:

Enjoy.

115

:

And things that feel good

things that don't feel like.

116

:

Sacrifice and extraction.

117

:

And I hear you when you.

118

:

You say like by the call, I don't have

time, but Nicole, like, I'm a busy moment.

119

:

I have.

120

:

All these things and my

to-do list is never ending.

121

:

And this, this, and this.

122

:

And there's this like external

circumstance that you have.

123

:

Put yourself.

124

:

Into that.

125

:

Makes you believe and

hold on to this story.

126

:

Sorry that you don't have time.

127

:

But also time isn't.

128

:

Not real.

129

:

Um, And what I say.

130

:

Back to you.

131

:

If you're saying those things is

that it doesn't have to be this like.

132

:

Ginormous shift in lifestyle.

133

:

It can literally just be like pockets.

134

:

Cuts.

135

:

Of rest and joy and pleasure micro.

136

:

Micro doses of rest, joy and pleasure.

137

:

It can be giving space.

138

:

For a longer exhale in

your body, it can be.

139

:

Brushing your teeth.

140

:

In full presence.

141

:

As opposed to like also cleaning

your counters and like trying.

142

:

To put socks on.

143

:

I don't know if anybody actually

does that, but you know what I mean?

144

:

Um,

145

:

It doesn't have to be.

146

:

This crazy orchestrated event.

147

:

It doesn't have to be

something that actually.

148

:

Actually feels like.

149

:

In addition to your to-do

list, it's a way of.

150

:

Being.

151

:

Instead of a way of doing.

152

:

Um, Um, urgency rest.

153

:

I think.

154

:

The other thing I wanted to talk about is.

155

:

This like.

156

:

Entanglement of our self-worth with our.

157

:

Our achievements and our productivity.

158

:

And our.

159

:

Our belief that like our goodness as.

160

:

A human.

161

:

Is dependent on.

162

:

What.

163

:

We do and how we look and what we say.

164

:

And how we behave.

165

:

And.

166

:

That's.

167

:

That's just so not true.

168

:

Um,

169

:

Hour.

170

:

Were inherent worth as a human being.

171

:

Is.

172

:

Unconditional like it is always there.

173

:

It is not conditional.

174

:

All of those things.

175

:

And the longer we take to.

176

:

Too.

177

:

Untangle those knots.

178

:

The longer it's gonna.

179

:

To take, to ever experience

a sense of freedom.

180

:

And a sense of fulfillment and a

sense of contentment and a sense.

181

:

Of.

182

:

Just like the lists and.

183

:

Uh, liveliness and.

184

:

Insert any other.

185

:

Other word you want to experience?

186

:

Um,

187

:

And yeah, I mean, I

could go on and on and.

188

:

All about these things, but basically

I'm here to say that like, We.

189

:

I have to stop living this way.

190

:

We have to stop doing things.

191

:

We.

192

:

I have to stop mothering.

193

:

We have to stop creating businesses.

194

:

We have to stop.

195

:

Um, Seeing rest and self care as rewards.

196

:

We have to stop doing these things

because they are literally killing us.

197

:

And.

198

:

There's no better time to.

199

:

Then now.

200

:

'cause like I said, it

doesn't have to be this like.

201

:

Fast change in lifestyle.

202

:

It is literally like these micro doses of.

203

:

Change.

204

:

It is just this heightened awareness to.

205

:

What is going on for you in your

inner world and in your outer world.

206

:

And.

207

:

Bringing intention into.

208

:

Your way.

209

:

Of being and your.

210

:

Um, Literally.

211

:

Really like.

212

:

Access to.

213

:

Uh, liveliness and sensation in your.

214

:

The body.

215

:

It can literally be that simple.

216

:

So.

217

:

Yeah.

218

:

Anyways, I am in the midst of

creating a private podcast.

219

:

Cast series called boss paid.

220

:

Funeral because.

221

:

I think it's finally fucking time to

lay this boss, babe culture, mental.

222

:

Mentality to rest.

223

:

And break free from the

chains that it's keeping.

224

:

Us.

225

:

Um, tied to, in the sense of.

226

:

Like doing more and.

227

:

Uh, like.

228

:

Like in the context of business, like

I just think about all of the people.

229

:

Who have a launch that

didn't go as expected.

230

:

And the immediate translation

of that is like, oh, I did.

231

:

Something wrong.

232

:

I didn't do something while

I didn't send enough emails.

233

:

I didn't.

234

:

Like post enough on Instagram.

235

:

I didn't have the right.

236

:

Blah, blah, blah.

237

:

And it's.

238

:

It's really none of that.

239

:

It's actually.

240

:

Like.

241

:

Nothing to do with needing to do more.

242

:

And it's.

243

:

It's the opposite.

244

:

It's actually like, we need to

just break up with that mentality.

245

:

And I don't want to say the word soften

because I think that's like the other.

246

:

Other side of the pendulum and I'm

not suggesting we go there either.

247

:

It's just this.

248

:

Like connection to.

249

:

To our.

250

:

Our body's innate wisdom and trusting

that like, okay, it's go time.

251

:

Or no it's time to rest because we

can't always be in these perpetual.

252

:

Spring and summers these perpetual

go times like society expects us to.

253

:

Um, And it's our body's

wisdom that can tell us.

254

:

When it's time to rest.

255

:

And what rest.

256

:

It will look like and what

actually feels nourishing.

257

:

Um, so yeah, stay tuned for that.
